REFRESHMENT NEED

Work at Home Moms carry a lot of responsibilities in many different facets of their lives. WAHMs give a lot to others and sacrifice much time to improve people's lives. When does a WAHM find time to herself and what should she do to be refreshed?
7 Steps to Finding Time For Refreshment:
1. Acknowledge your need for refreshment. When we see the value of taking some time for ourselves we will be more prone to include those times into our schedule.
2. Refreshment restores. When you have had some down time you have greater energy and creativity. See the need for refreshment as a boost to your productivity.

3. Find time daily to refresh. Find at least 15 - 30 minutes daily to do something that you find relaxing. Your body needs down time. Do not deprive yourself of this essential ingredient to living life well.
4. Do the things that relax. For some it's a warm soak in the tub, others love to read or take a walk, meditate, play, watch a movie. Do only the things that are relaxing for you.
5. Find time monthly to take a day off. Take an entire day to do what you love. Don't take that day to do an overhaul on your cleaning or organizing. (Find a different day to do that.) This day is just for fun.
6. Plan a yearly vacation. For some Moms vacations are not relaxing. They create more work. Approach your next vacation with a different mindset. Before you leave, ask yourself, "What would a totally relaxing vacation look like for me?" Share that with the people you are vacationing with and keep your mindset on relaxing. Amazing how your vacations will change! (Don't ask how I know this!)
7. Power of thoughts. Overall, the greatest way to relax is to make sure your thoughts are not stressing you. Calm your mind, continually. When your mind is filled with the pressures of life and all your thoughts are directed to those pressures you will feel stressed. Instead focus on pleasant things around you. Use your mind to calm your spirit.
